About US...

Lunch box; Bento box

Lunch box; Bento boxLunch box; Bento boxKishu Lacquerware is made from Kishu Cypress, a wood made from trees grown in Wakayama.
This wood is lightly sanded, then painted with lacquer along the carefully arranged wood grain and polished neatly with a soft cloth.
This process is performed twice. After drying, the surface is once again sanded until smooth.
The process is repeated multiple times to make this lunchbox.
Japanese cypress wood has natural antifungal properties, and the lacquering only increases this trait.
The lacquer is combined with platinum nanoparticles to prevent wear, tear and reduce offensive odors.
*Although Kishu Lacquerware is a traditional craft, it is durable enough to be used in everyday life.
